We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Web UI Designer to join a global leading commerce and digital cloud transformation company based in Chester. This can be a home-based role with occasional travel to the office in Chester whereby you will be delivering successful ecommerce projects for your clients, whether that’s delivering a new website, or making continuous improvements to an existing site. We’re looking for someone with a good all-round knowledge of Web/UI design, ideally in the world of ecommerce. You’ll be passionate about delivering an outstanding service and quality solutions at all times.

Role:

As Web UI Designer, you will be responsible for delivering successful ecommerce projects for your clients, whether that’s delivering a new website, or making continuous improvements to an existing site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding detailed requirements and turning these into polished, responsive ecommerce UI designs that will drive conversion rates
• Working on all sizes of projects from full site redesigns to small improvements and integrations
• Working alongside a Lead Designer to present designs to clients
• Creation of UI kits and knowledge of accessibility standards
• Working as part of a wider team of project resources, e.g. Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, QA testers, Project Managers
• Updating JIRA, our issue management system
• Internal communications to keep Lead Designers, PMs etc updated

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Web/UI Designer (at least 2 years) and a great portfolio to present to us
• Experience of web design applications such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD etc
• Understanding of ecommerce site UI design
• Appreciation of UX research and processes
• Knowledge of ecommerce platforms would be beneficial, though technical/development knowledge is not required.
