We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to join a global market leader in the DIY arts and crafts marketplace, with the company designing, manufacturing and distributing the finest products to the creative industry. As IT Manager, you will oversee global internal and external day-to-day IT operations of the company. You will develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practice guides for the organisation. This role directly reports to BSIT & Digital Development Director. The key responsibility of the IT Manager is to oversee Global internal and external day-to-day IT operations of the company, providing overall management of technology/systems vendors, disaster recovery systems and processes, helping develop and implement IT policy and procedures with support of System Administrators. You will help develop an IT Roadmap, inclusive of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Maintain and monitor daily operations, including application / data / SQL servers, hardware, software, and operating systems globally with support of System Administrators.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practice guides for the organisation.
  • Plan and determine major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Evaluate technology risks and develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  • Drive compliance programs and processes (GDPR, CCPA, PCI, etc.) from a technology perspective and project management perspective.
  • Manage all Firewall, security protocols and Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminating them with strategic solutions.
  • Assure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Identify future challenges in the IT landscape and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Review and Manage company’s software/hardware licenses globally.  Conduct yearly license compliance audits globally.
  • Budget and forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required
  • Train and educate end-users on Cybersecurity, O365 capabilities and collaboration tools (OneDrive, Skype, OneNote, Outlook etc.)
  • Maintain and own sustenance process of existing client SharePoint sites and sub sites, lists, libraries, content and workflow.
  • Administer, support and configuration of MS Office O365.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to, but not limited to mail-flow, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, user mailboxes, anti-spam, anti-malware, security, and compliance.
  • Onboard / Offboard users in partnership with HR
  • Provide outstanding customer service and responsiveness to all end-users across both locations.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of BSIT & Digital Development Director.
  • Lead team of IT System Administrators and manage their workload based on business priorities.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Essential Skills;

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Experience in managing Enterprise level IT systems, networking, managing firewalls, security, compliance etc.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and O365
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 workstations, Macs, Active Directory, File servers, application servers, SQL Server administration  and Windows File Permissions
