Paid Social Marketing Manager


We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of an established and successful FinTech company based in Chester, for an experienced and talented Paid Social Marketing Manager to further develop their already successful Social Strategy across multiple in-house brands.  As Paid Social Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic advancement of our paid social acquisition activities, spending budgets of six figures per month. You will be confident in managing paid campaigns targeting new and existing customers on social, planning the right content for the right audience segment and comfortable with the KPIs detailing success. You will be fiercely ambitious, highly talented and both experienced and comfortable with large marketing budgets.

The Role:


Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you’ll be planning, testing, executing and measuring campaigns across, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok channels, with the goal of acquiring new customers on budget and at an ever-increasing scale


About You:


  • You’re addicted to driving profitable paid traffic at scale and doing more of that is what gets you out of bed every morning. You are laser-focused on optimisation and crushing any targets or goals set. Segmentation and targeting opportunities on Facebook and Instagram are your bread and butter. You trust your instincts and those instincts tell you which ad format and what type of creative different audience segments are most likely to respond to.
  • You are not scared to talk data; impressions, CPM, click through and conversion rates are your A-B-Cs, and you are comfortable reporting and sharing these statistics at every level. You’ll be at least mildly obsessed with data and more than proficient with Facebook Ads Manager and Excel or other data tools.
  • You’re keen to crack snapchat and TikTok despite their relative infancy adtech wise.
  • You have the ability to respond quickly to last minute changes or feedback – or if your campaign metrics aren’t in that sweet spot.
  • The opportunity to disrupt and take huge chunks of traffic from established internet giants doesn’t intimidate you, it puts you in a frenzied state of entitlement. It’s not their traffic – it’s yours.
  • You embrace technology and aren’t happy if you’re not testing the latest and greatest of it.
  • We are a friendly, chatty bunch so you’ll need to possess impeccable communication skills and will speak your mind at all times, pushing hard for any changes you believe will have a positive impact on KPIs.
  • You’re immersed in the digital world and love soaking up and applying the latest trends and learnings in the industry.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • You will be responsible for the strategic advancement of paid social acquisition activities, spending budgets of six figures per month.
  • You will be confident in managing paid campaigns both targeting new and existing customers on social, planning the right content for the right audience segment and comfortable with the KPIs detailing success.
  • You will feed into reporting for this channel, using this to inform internal stakeholders of progress and understanding how your campaigns work holistically within the business.
  • Allocate the monthly budget across paid media channels in line with KPIs, forecasts and business objectives.
  • Use insight tools, marketing and business data to build media audiences.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor, industry and keyword research to propose areas of development, expansion and testing tactics
  • Generate new paid search campaigns, ad groups, and accounts and create new paid search marketing initiatives.
  • Communicate to management on project development, timelines, and results.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reporting for all primary metrics, goal tracking, revenue tracking, and other paid search initiatives.

  • Financial Services Experience
  • Agency Experience
  • Experience of Using Social Advertising Management Tools eg Smartly, Marin
  • Google Analytics Experience
  • Love of dogs (cats are ok… maybe)
  • Food enthusiast
