Lettings Administrator

Our client is looking for an efficient and enthusiastic Lettings Administrator to join their small and friendly team based in Chester. With a combined 20 years of experience in student house lettings, our client prides themselves on providing the very best service, whether you're a student tenant, a tenant's guarantor, or a landlord looking to let your student house. As Lettings Administrator, you will very much be at the heart of the business and responsible for supporting the smooth running of the business and its success. You will provide administrative support within the lettings team to ensure all applications, documents, verification, and referencing are completed accurately and efficiently.  You will ideally have experience of working in a similar position within the property industry or in as a busy administration role recently in another industry and are now looking to move into the exciting world of property with a bustling and thriving established firm. The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative support within the lettings team. As a first point of contact for the business, you will need to be able to build new relationships with ease. You will deal with all manner of lettings administration including day to day sales and property management. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting team, sales manager and property manager
  • Liaising with tenants with regards to all tenancy matters, including renewal of contract agreements, end of tenancy processing etc
  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries from students, tenants and landlords. Dealing with phone calls and emails regarding faults or issues and arranging for the relevant contractors to attend to resolve
  • Logging repairs and ordering materials
  • Arranging and chasing up of contractors to attend properties for repair, maintenance, periodic inspections and gas and electric certification
  • Maintaining all records and information ensuring everything is accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Provide other general administrative support to the team
  • Managing Lead Enquiries (phoning applicants, booking in viewings etc)
  • Social Media support and remarketing properties
  • Provide support with property viewings
  • Processing tenant applications and chasing online contracts
  • Updating property sheets
  • Office management – presentation, stock, stationary
  • Responsible for key system

Required Skills

  • Experience in a similar administration role in a office environment
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent people skills to be able to deal with a range of customers including students, tenants, landlords and contractors
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Self motivated with a can do attitude
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Forward thinking with the ability to take ownership of your role
  • Proficient with technology and MS packages
  • Desirable but not essential experience from within property management or estate agent
  • A confident individual who would thrive working within the Student Market
