Account Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative yet commercially driven Account Executive to join a global market leader in the DIY arts and crafts marketplace, with the company designing, manufacturing and distributing the finest products to the creative industry. As Account Executive, you must have previous account management experience working with third party online retailers such as Ebay and Amazon. Language skills would also be highly desirable. You will bring a consultative and personal approach to developing customer accounts. Role;

As Account Executive, you will be managing a portfolio of key e-commerce accounts. This is a pivotal role involves working alongside the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the implementation of the Amazon sales and marketing strategy within UK, European and ROW regions. This includes the management of high valued sales accounts and strategically developing sales and marketing campaigns to support the development of these accounts and business strategy. You will be adept at managing a large workload with excellent prioritising skills and you will enjoy creating new solutions with a hands on approach to problem solving. You will have a strong sales background and will be responsible for delivering excellence within your department and continuously be leading by example by upholding high standards.


Key Responsibilities;

  • Working with the Senior Account Executive and wider team in managing a portfolio of key e-commerce accounts, primarily Amazon, across several countries
  • Processing Amazon orders
  • Implementation of promotional campaigns (whether this is through offers or AMS campaigns) to achieve sales including creation of online banners, brand pages, offers and management of SEO
  • Working towards set monthly/ annual sales targets and set KPI’s
  • Generating new business through current channels and exploring new opportunities/new prospective online customers
  • Develop & maintain Amazon’s A+ Pages & Brand Pages
  • Maximising revenue by exploring all sales opportunities
  • Work closely with other departments including Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure a seamless end to end process maximising fulfilment of orders
  • Playing a key role as part of a small team
  • Understanding/researching e-commerce trends, utilising internal reports and external sources and putting forward ideas to relevant departments
  • Gathering sales data, reporting or supporting additional requests as directed
  • Analysing data and sales performance in order to identify buying trends across platforms in order to make recommendations for positive change
  • Developing, planning and executing marketing campaigns to strengthen and develop revenue growth
  • Review and identify additional e-commerce platforms the business should be working with, being targeted to develop presence in new and existing areas
  • Taking on additional responsibility for key tasks to support the wider sales team
  • Have a full understanding of the overall sales department processes and be cross trained on all channels to support when needed.


Essential Skills;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Direct 2+ years of experience working Amazon/Vendor/Seller Central/AMS and/or other e-commerce platforms
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be fluent with written and spoken English
  • Have the desire to grow the role and deliver exceptional service
  • SEO experience is desirable
  • PPC experience is desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Office applications
  • Previous experience using a CRM system would be beneficial
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and mentor/ train junior members of the team if needed
  • Additional language skills (written and verbal to a high standard) would be a plus for this role- in particular German/ Italian/ Spanish
