Senior Commercial Analyst

We are exclusively recruiting for a cutting-edge, FinTech start-up business based near Chester launching a hugely disruptive consumer finance proposition, generating thousands of customers daily, is looking for an experienced, talented and ambitious commercial data analyst to support the development and growth of the digital marketing, CRM and commercial strategy across the business. As Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering commercial benefit through provision of insights to help the business perform more profitably and by supporting the commercial team with data that leads to stronger partnerships. Role:

As Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering commercial benefit through provision of insights to help the business perform more profitably and by supporting the commercial team with data that leads to stronger partnerships. Working closely with all sides of the business you will develop viable commercial products from different data assets; understand the needs of different users and be able to provide insights to tailor products and customer experience.

You will deliver insights that will aid and identify trends for customer identification, customer requirements and customer conversion, and how data will be leveraged to create Loan and Credit Card Partners to increase sales from their respecting market places.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of MI - Generate the required insights to support the development of commercial propositions from existing Data Asset(s). Build and development, Leading with Insight for Partnerships function – building and producing MI performance packs that show Partners relevant KPI’s and insights to improve upon them.
  • Manage DDQ - for new partnerships and bi-annually for existing ones.
  • Management of product database – Collaborate with Tech, compliance & partners to ensure all product details are compliant, maintain partner product details
  • Analysis of commercial KPIs – Maintain ongoing analysis of performance dashboards, and work with other departments to drive continuous trading performance
  • Support of Marketing function to identify data variables that hold influence on behaviour (loan search, demographic, financial health etc etc) and build of insights & solutions that will aid search, conversion and trigger-based marketing (customer conversion, lender eligibility / conversion, customer life cycle)
  • Customer demographics – customer profiling of users (by Acquisition source) to identify ROI, indexing of customer profile, and financial health.
  • Digital Performance – Measurement of website conversion and build out of commercial KPIs to enable best in class trading performance and reporting.
  • Technical – Ensuring the dev team know what it is they need to implement to enable capture of data for analytics / insights. Detailed tracking and communication of project progress related to issues, risks, cost, timescales and quality. Motivate the people in your team through strong leadership and client advocacy.


Essential Skills:

  • Has a proven track record, of qualification / degree, for developing data and insight
  • Has experience in implementing data lead initiatives that have delivered positive customer and commercial outcomes
  • Is experienced at producing high quality presentations, to present themselves or to be used by the wider commercial team for Partners
  • Has a proven track record of understanding and leveraging the commercial value of data and insights
  • Has experience delivering systems and software in the financial services industry
  • You’ll be, at the very least, obsessed with data and experience in the use of SQL would be a benefit (but can be taught). You’ll need to be more than proficient with Google Analytics and Excel and other data tools.
